Recognise your strengths and weaknesses and hire people to fill in the gaps in your team’s ability.
I have had conversations with people who have seriously questioned why I would want to hire someone to join Clear Books who is better than me, the CEO. Surely as the boss you should be the best person in the company?
If this is how you think then you need to unthink. Surround yourself with brilliant people.
If you want your company to be a leader then you need to hire people better than you so that your business and team keeps innovating and advancing.
If you want to be a dictator who is always right then dumbing down will surely kill your business.
