Clear Books provides easy to use cloud accounting and payroll software for thousands of small businesses and accountants. We sell our software through three channels: (a) direct to SMEs through our website; (b) via accountants to their clients; and (c) via large, strategic partners who have small business customers.

We’re looking for a UX Designer to join us as soon as possible.
The role
In order to achieve our big ambitions, we are looking for a product designer who can help bring our product to the next level.
You will work closely with the Product Manager and Scrum team to design and deliver great user experiences on web and mobile in the aim of helping UK small businesses thrive.
Responsibilities
- Take a human-centric approach to developing user flows and interactions to best help our users achieve their goals in the easiest and elegant way
- Design and develop wireframes and prototypes around functional requirements
- Review existing product flows and processes to identify and recommend opportunities for UX and UI improvements
- Own, design and run user research
- Be able to clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders
- Facilitate design workshops with stakeholders
- Own and continuously develop the product’s design system and component library
- Contribute to the product team’s ongoing development to constantly improve how we work
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working as a product designer
- Experience in the end-to-end design process (discovery to delivery)
- Fluent with Sketch, Figma, or similar design software
- Curious nature and quick learner
- Critical thinker
- Can work autonomously and takes initiative
- Can balance ideal methods vs commercial needs
- Knowledgeable and on top of design industry best practices
- Nice to have: Experience in the fintech industry
